Course outline

Study with Australia’s No.2 ranked University for Dentistry and Oral Health, tied position in the 2023 Shanghai Ranking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. The Bachelor of Dental Health Science is a high-demand program delivered on the Gold Coast in the $150 million purpose-built Griffith Health Centre, providing world-class facilities including a 117-chair dental clinic, commercial dental and clinical skills laboratories. You’ll learn through extensive practical training from the first year of your studies. You’ll study and work alongside registered dentists and dental specialists in our modern clinic and in specialised pre-clinical simulation laboratories. Other requirements

To gain entry to this degree, you will be required to sit the University Clinical Aptitude Test for Australia and New Zealand (UCAT ANZ). Applicants will be invited to an interview based on their UCAT ANZ Total Score. Visit ucat.edu.au. Important offer advice: Should you receive an offer into this program you will be required to enrol into classes* within a short timeframe. This information will be included in your Starting@Griffith email and expressed in the number of days from the day of issue of your email and is in line with the offer response date in your QTAC offer email. Please note that the number of days can vary depending on when the offer was made. This requirement applies irrespective of whether you accepted conditionally or unconditionally. If you do not enrol* into at least one class for your program by 5pm on the response day your offer will lapse. Lapsed offers are not automatically reinstated and reinstatement is subject to available places. *Enrolling into classes means that you are advising when you are attending class/es. Enrolment must be submitted. This program requires students to undertake clinical placements. Prior to professional placement, students must meet all professional practice requirements. Fixed closing date

QTAC applications for this program close 30 September 2024. After this date, no new applicants can apply, but existing applicants can reorder this preference.

Additional entry requirements

Applicants for this program must sit the University Clinical Aptitude Test ANZ (UCAT ANZ). Registrations for the UCAT ANZ open in March 2024 and are due 17 May 2024. Applicants will be invited to a Griffith University Dental Admissions Process Interview (GUDAP) on the basis of their UCAT ANZ Total Score. The GUDAP interview will require students to attend a multi scenario interview on 21 or 22 November 2024. Applicants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander should visit the Griffith University website for information regarding the First Peoples Health Pathway. Griffith Guaranteed Admission Schemes do not apply to this program.
